How did you get interested in working with kids?

I became interested in working with children when I was 18 years old, when I became a volunteer wrestling coach. Through working with the children on the wrestling team and talking with friends and family I decided to go to college and take the child and youth worker program.

What has been your greatest achievement while supporting children?

The greatest achievement I have had supporting children has been the great relationships I have developed with the children and their families.

What was the biggest lesson(s) learned while supporting a child in our program?

The biggest lesson I have learned comes from the children, it is the importance of being positive, smiling and enjoying the company of each other, and doing activities together.

what advice would you have for someone who is interested in supporting a child?

I would say to remain calm in every situation and to enjoy your time together.
